National Black Midwives Mentorship Program

We established the first National Black Midwives Mentorship Program at the 2002 conference. Eight aspiring midwives connected with established midwives who agreed to mentor them on their journey as they get the training and experience they need to care for women in their communities. Mentees will keep in touch at least once a month so that mentors can answer questions and offer encouragement. We hope to see all of you at the 2006 conference to hear about your experiences.
